The Ancestry Insider has an update on the RootsWeb situation.
Basically, there were some hardware issues that they're working on getting fixed. It could be up to 2 weeks to completely fix it. Some pages that are on their servers are available, so check individually.
Personally, I had an issue on a much smaller scale. My hard drive died on Sunday and my computer has been useless until I was able to get a new drive installed at Apple this afternoon. Everything was "lost". So, expect a post later in the week on why it is important to back up your files! Because of back ups, I believe I have actually lost no files and maybe an application or two that I can't reinstall without purchasing new. We will see when I get everything loaded onto the new hard drive which is currently in progress.
